Leather Cleaning & Restoration
Why Leather Cleaning with Chem-Dry?
We all know that leather furniture is comfortable, prestigious and looks great. But it’s not cheap. One of the reasons leather’s so popular is because it’s durable and can last for hundreds of years. But it’s also prone to scratching and scuffing, marks and cuts and its colour can fade; don't let your favourite furniture fade or deteriorate beyond the stage where we can restore it.
How Do I Know My Leather Is Dirty?
- Oils and Grease — We know you’re a clean bunch, but – with the best will in the world – something you use every day is going to get dirty. If you sit in the same place every day, oil from your skin and hair rubs onto the head cushions and armrests of your furniture over time, and can cause serious damage to it’s protective finishes.
- Atmospheric Soils — Think about the dust that builds up on your coffee table or desk over the course of a week… This dust settles on your leather too, dulling its normal finish. Add airborne cooking oils and atmospheric pollution into the equation, and you can see how quickly leather can start looking tired and dull.
- Common Soils — It’s a house, you live in it. That means all of that common dirt trampled in from outside by you, your kids and the pets.
- Dyes and Inks — Newsprint, a leaky pen… Leather is naturally absorbent and soaks up inks it comes into contact with, plus dyes from clothes like denim.
Protect your leather
As we’ve said, buying leather is an investment. Many cleaning products just aren’t suitable for cleaning leather and may break down it’s natural finishes causing it to get dry and crack. Chem-Dry of Liverpool’s leather products are safe and effective for all sorts of leather – we have over 300 tanneries and manufacturers that endorse our products.
Don't take risks over your leather’s care. Regular cleaning and maintenance by a skilled Chem-Dry technician will prevent undue wear and tear on your furniture and make sure it stays looking great.
